Description:

Size
The inflatable full retractable tent of the series "PLUTO" (model 2023) is available in sizes 7 to 12 and 7 XL to 11 XL, with a circumferential dimension range of 911 cm to 1120 cm and is ideally suited for caravans with a keder rail connection height of 240 cm to 255 cm. The decisive factor is the actual circumferential dimension of the keder rail on the caravan. If the caravan is up to 270 cm high, but the circumferential dimension is suitable, the overall visual impression and the position of the roof tubes will deviate from the standard. Correctly tensioned, however, the tent fabric still provides ideal weather protection.

Sizes 7 to 12 have a depth of 250 cm.
Sizes 7 XL to 11 XL have a depth of 300 cm.

Climate and optics
The PLUTO series from Westfield is haptically and visually appealing thanks to HydroTech® Cotton-Touch tent fabric. Quite soft to the touch on the outside and color stable for a long time in timeless, muted shades of gray and anthracite accents.

The impregnation of the inner surface reduces, thanks to the special structure, the formation of condensation drops. Continuous high-level ventilation does not allow the living space to cool down significantly but automatically conveys stale air to the outside, further reducing the formation of condensation and at the same time maintaining the indoor climate at a good level.

With a custom-fit, creamy-white Westfield interior canopy (made of cotton fabric), the formation of condensation drops is further reduced and the interior is visually brightened (depending on the light source). Each PLUTO air awning is equipped with receptacles for the interior sky elements. By placing them between the roof tubes, the standing height is not reduced at all.
Lowest standing height approx. 180 cm, the passages of the front fronts are slightly lower.

Air-Frame
The individual air tubes are connected to each other with round valve connections.
Although these can loosen and lose air due to frequent assembly and disassembly, they are just as easy to tighten again. For this reason, all connections should be checked by hand for tightness each time they are assembled. The valve connection is fixed by internal threads in each air tube and a black binding ring. Internal sealing rubbers prevent over-tightening, air loss and promote the longevity of the connecting valves.
Repairs, replacements and corrections can be made quickly and easily. (Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions in the assembly and maintenance manual).
The spring-reinforced check valves of the hose connections, prevent in case of damage, the collapse of the entire tent, so that a loss of air affects only a part of the air frame.

Assembly and disassembly, factor: air
With the ASS air system, the tents of the PLUTO series can be inflated at one point. Thus, the entire air frame is filled or deflated. Thanks to the flexible air retention system, the air will not escape through the inflation opening when the hand pump is removed. Only by unscrewing the second valve ring, the air is released from the air frame. The Westfield PLUTO and PLUTO XL air awnings are always equipped with multiple valves. So the inflation, regardless of the location, can always succeed.
Thanks to the built-in "boat valves" (standard on most "stand up paddle board's" (SUP), inflatable boats, etc.) the, included hand pump, can be used in many ways. This saves space and weight. The electric pump offers even more comfort. It fills the air frame at the touch of a button, up to the preset pressure (PSI / bar) and stops automatically when the previously set value is reached. The pump is designed for 12V and car socket (former cigarette lighter). By the way, the PLUTO Air-Frame is filled up to 7 PSI.
There is no need for a vacuum pump for de-installation, thanks to the pressure-stable Air-Frame design: simply open the valves and its own weight pushes almost all the air out of the Air-Frame. When the tent is folded, the air is then practically pushed out by itself. All valves are covered with fabric and Velcro.

Wind closure
Drafts are not an issue with the PLUTO series. The, equipped with ventilation, floor skirt and wheel well cover, prevents the passage of wind under the caravan, but guarantees sufficient air circulation. Another mechanism for automatic regulation of the living room climate. The PVC strip, also called wind skirt, with a piping is included in the delivery of all PLUTO sizes.
A pole for sealing against the caravan wall is not necessary due to the design of the tent, as it is a fully retractable tent. Their remaining give the Vario corners, left and right on the tent, whereby the living space to the caravan is sealed again.

The anchoring of Westfield PLUTO and PLUTO XL air awnings is made, as with most common tents, with the help of ladder rubbers and pegs in solid ground.
The ladder holders are located between the double lazy strip. Thus, due to the design, any risk of stumbling is excluded.
Advantage: Even with maximum height utilization on the caravan, the lazy strip cannot be blown up by the wind, as the ladder rubbers inevitably prevent this.

Note: The part of the PLUTO and PLUTO XL air awnings adjacent to the caravan cheeks, does not have a double foul strip and the section is "shorter" than the circumferential sides / fronts.
Only in this way can the part adjacent to the caravan, be correctly braced with the, sewn to the tent, drawstrings. The wind closure is made by the Vario corners and wind skirt.

Veranda function
Thanks to the telescopic veranda pole (1) supplied, made of the light metal: aluminum, at least one front can be folded in half on the horizontal without damaging the zipper teeth. Up to two porch poles can be applied to the fronts (one porch pole per front element). Each PLUTO tent comes standard with unobtrusive, internal porch pole mounts.

Stability
PLUTO sizes 10-12 are delivered with an additional air tube set for the front wall. The set consists of two air tubes to support the front horizontal roof tube. This ensures sufficient stability even for the larger sizes of the PLUTO series.

The additional Air-Tubes for the fronts have separate valves and are not connected to the PLUTO Air-Frame but are locked to the Air-Frame with a Velcro fastener. Starting with PLUTO size 10, there are up to 3 vertical Air-Tubes under the horizontal roof tube.
These have to be filled with air individually, but this is done within a few pump strokes.

Optionally, the additional Air-Tubes can also be purchased for sizes 7-9.
These additional Air-Tubes support the Roof-Tube and thus provide an improved stand.

Optional poles, also made of light metal: aluminum, can be inserted under the roof tubes of the side elements, in pockets provided for this purpose.
This allows, especially with the deeper PLUTO XL series (300cm tent depth) for even more stability.
Often interesting when wind gusts are to be expected at the pitch.

The scope of delivery includes sufficient storm and guy ropes. With Easy-Clip carabiners they are connected to, sewn to the tent, metal rings. By variable length tension clips, can always be achieved the ideal tension of the roof. In the event that the lines are detached from the ground pegs, they can be stowed in mesh pockets located on the outside of each Air-Tube.

Extension, the living space extension
If the maximized living space of the air-tube awning does not or no longer meet the requirements, additional space can be created with the ERIS extension and universal extension.

The universal extension is an ideal sleeping room extension, opaque and including inner tent.
Extension ERIS, on the other hand, can be used in many different ways:

The tinted view elements run around all three sides. These can be darkened with the sewn-on, internal privacy elements. The design of the extension ERIS fits seamlessly with that of every PLUTO and PLUTO XL tent.
With the universal freestanding inner tent from Westfield, the extension ERIS is also very well suited as a sleeping area.
Due to the standing and passage height of approx. 180 cm, the extension ERIS is also very suitable for staying, as a "two-wheel garage" and also as a passage lock.
