Ultra-fast MPPT tracking
The MPPT RS SmartSolar is a 48 V solar charge controller with a PV input voltage of up to 450 VDC and output current of either 100 A or 200 A. It is used in grid-tied and off-grid solar applications where maximum battery charging power is required.
Advanced Maximum Power Point detection in case of partial shading.
In case of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adjust to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the SmartSolar device will always maximise the energy yield by adjusting to the optimal MPP.

A Bluetooth-enabled smartphone can display a wide range of data live. The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices.
Unlike the BlueSolar controllers, the Bluetooth interface is already built in here, so no additional accessories need to be purchased.
Intelligent battery management with the BatteryLife algorithm
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and slightly increases the threshold value for switching off the load every day until the constant voltage is reached. From this point, the load disconnection threshold is modulated so that the constant voltage is reached approximately once a week.
The BatteryLife algorithm will increase the operating life of the battery compared to conventional battery algorithms that always alternate between "partially charged" and "fully charged" (as a result of low self-discharge).
Display and Bluetooth
The display reads the parameters of the battery and controller. The parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device. Bluetooth can also be used to set up the system and change settings with VictronConnect.
Internal temperature sensor and optional external measurement of battery voltage, temperature and current via Bluetooth.
With a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor or a SmartShunt, battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.
Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to 0 volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.
Synchronised parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth
With VE.Can up to 25 devices can be synchronised, with Bluetooth up to 10devices.
VE.Can and VE.Direct connection
For connection to a GX unit for system monitoring, data logging and remote firmware updates. VE.Can can be used to connect up to 25 units in parallel and synchronise their charging.
