MPP solar regulator for high quality motorhomes, caravans and boats. Votronic "MPP" (Maximum-Power-Point) series solar controllers with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar panels several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage of the solar module to a higher charging current for the battery (realized by high frequency switching controller technology with high efficiency). This charging current gain ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. Also, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard. Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm The Blue Power charger features microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage. Storage mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in useStorage mode is activated whenever there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The charge maintenance voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas generation and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This provides a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the two main causes of premature battery failure. Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteriesLiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase > constant voltage phase > charge retention voltage phase algorithm. The NIGHT and LOW settings When the unit is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output and the charger operates absolutely silently. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be terminated manually. Protection against overheating The output current is reduced when the temperature rises up to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger does not fail.

By using Bluetooth to program the Smart BatteryProtect, all required on/off thresholds can be set. Alternatively, one of nine preset on/off thresholds can be set using the programming pin (see manual). If necessary, the Bluetooth function can be turned off. Protects the battery from deep discharge and can be used as a system on/off switch. The on/off input can be used as a system on/off switch. Setting for lithium-ion batteries In this mode, the BatteryProtect can be controlled by the VE.Bus BMS. Note: The BatteryProtect can also be used as a charge interrupter between a battery charger and a lithium-ion battery. See connection diagram in the manual. Extremely low power consumption This is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage level.Please refer to our lithium-ion battery data sheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information. Overvoltage protection To prevent sensitive loads from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is switched off whenever the DC voltage exceeds the value of 16.3 V or 32.6 V, respectively. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage drops below the preset value for shutdown for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, turning on the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. Current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate an audible signal, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load is turned off 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset threshold. If the battery voltage rises again to the threshold for connection within this period (after the motor has been started, for example), the load is not switched off.the load is switched on again 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset threshold for reconnection.

Battery Life: intelligent battery management If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within one day, the status of the battery will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months.The Battery Life algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and if necessary, day after day, raises the load disconnect threshold (i.e., disconnects the load sooner) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point, the threshold for disconnecting the load is modulated so that charging to nearly 100% is achieved about once a week. Built-in Bluetooth Smart: No dongle needed. The charge controller also has a programmable battery charging algorithm and day/night time control with light dimming option. Monitoring can be done with the appropriate accessories either with a remote control or via a Bluetooth connection and a smartphone. Victron SmartSolar 450/100-Tr MPPT RS Ultra-fast MPPT tracking The MPPT RS SmartSolar is a 48 V solar charge controller with a PV input voltage of up to 450 VDC and output current of either 100 A or 200 A. It is used in grid-tied and off-grid solar applications where maximum battery charging power is required. Advanced Maximum Power Point detection in case of partial shading. In case of partial shading, there may be two or more maximum power points (MPP) on the current-voltage curve. Conventional MPPTs tend to adjust to a local MPP. However, this may not be the optimal MPP. The innovative algorithm of the SmartSolar device will always maximise the energy yield by adjusting to the optimal MPP. Highlight: Real-time data display on your smartphone! Built-in Bluetooth Smart: No dongle necessary A Bluetooth-enabled smartphone can display a wide range of data live. The wireless solution for setting up, monitoring and updating the controller using Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. Intelligent battery management with the BatteryLife algorithm The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and slightly increases the threshold value for switching off the load every day until the constant voltage is reached. From this point, the load disconnection threshold is modulated so that the constant voltage is reached approximately once a week. The BatteryLife algorithm will increase the operating life of the battery compared to conventional battery algorithms that always alternate between "partially charged" and "fully charged" (as a result of low self-discharge). Display and Bluetooth The display reads the parameters of the battery and controller. The parameters can be accessed with a smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device. Bluetooth can also be used to set up the system and change settings with VictronConnect. Internal temperature sensor and optional external measurement of battery voltage, temperature and current via Bluetooth. With a Smart Battery Sense, a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor or a SmartShunt, battery voltage and temperature (and current, in the case of a BMV 712 or a SmartShunt) can be transmitted to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers. Recovery function for fully discharged batteries Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to 0 volts. Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function. Synchronised parallel charging with VE.Can or Bluetooth Up to 25 devices can be synchronised with VE.Can and up to 10 devices with Bluetooth. Battery ChargersBlue Power IP22 High efficiency With up to 94% efficiency, these chargers generate up to four times less heat compared to the industry standard. Also, after the battery is fully charged, power consumption drops to less than 0.5 watts, which is about five to ten times better than the industry standard. Adaptive 6-stage charging algorithm The Blue Power charger features a microprocessor-controlled adaptive battery management. Adaptive means that the charging process is automatically adjusted to the type of battery usage. Storage mode: less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use Storage mode is activated whenever there has been no discharge within 24 hours. The charge maintenance voltage is then lowered to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gas generation and thus prevent corrosion on the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is increased to the level of the gassing voltage. This provides a type of equalization charge that prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, the two main causes of premature battery failure. Also charges lithium-ion (LiFePO4) batteries LiFePO4 batteries are charged using a simple constant current phase > constant voltage phase > charge retention voltage phase algorithm. The NIGHT and LOW settings When the unit is in NIGHT or LOW mode, the output current is reduced to a maximum of 25% of the rated output and the charger operates absolutely silently. The NIGHT mode ends automatically after 8 hours. The LOW mode can be terminated manually. Protection against overheating The output current is reduced when the temperature rises up to 50°C, but the Blue Power charger does not fail.

Extremely low power consumption This is important in the case of lithium-ion batteries, especially after shutdown due to low voltage level.Please refer to our lithium-ion battery data sheet and the VE.Bus BMS manual for more information. Overvoltage protection To prevent sensitive loads from being damaged by an overvoltage, the load is switched off whenever the DC voltage exceeds the value of 16.3 V or 32.6 V, respectively. Delayed alarm output The alarm output is activated when the battery voltage drops below the preset value for shutdown for more than 12 seconds. Therefore, turning on the engine will not activate the alarm. The alarm output is a short-circuit protected open collector output connected to the negative (minus) rail. Max. Current 50 mA. The alarm output is normally used to activate an audible signal, LED or relay. Delayed load disconnection and delayed reconnection The load is turned off 90 seconds after the battery voltage drops below the preset threshold. If the battery voltage rises again to the threshold for connection within this period (after the motor has been started, for example), the load is not switched off.the load is switched on again 30 seconds after the battery voltage exceeds the preset threshold for reconnection.
