MPP solar controller for high quality motorhomes, caravans and boats. Votronic solar controllers of the series "MPP" (Maximum-Power-Point) with "IU1oU2" charging characteristic are connected as a link between solar panel(s) and battery(ies). With MPP technology, the controller continuously and automatically determines the maximum power point (MPP) of the solar panels several times per second. It then transforms the excess voltage of the solar module to a higher charging current for the battery (realized by high frequency switching controller technology with high efficiency). This charging current gain ensures shorter charging times and the best possible power utilization of the solar system. The MPP solar controllers are fully automatic, maintenance free and offer the following functions: MPP charge current increase compared to conventional controllers by 10% to 30% (efficiency > 95%) due to the use of the latest controller technology (microprocessor). The increase in performance is particularly noticeable during the cooler seasons and, for example, during periods of high snow, low and diffuse lighting (hibernation). For charging lead-gel, lead-AGM, lead-acid batteries or LiFePO4 complete batteries (with integrated BMS, balancing, safety circuit and approval!) of the specified nominal voltages and the co-supply of consumers connected to these batteries in permanently installed systems with the specified battery capacities and charging programs. The charging voltage is free of peaks and regulated in such a way that overcharging of the batteries is excluded. Two battery charging outputs: Automatic charging of the main supply on-board battery (BORD I) and back-up charging and charge maintenance (max. 1 A) of the vehicle starter battery (Start II) with protection against overcharging. Monitoring-free charging: Standard protection against overload, overheating, reverse polarity and battery back discharge (in case of insufficient solar power e.g. dusk, night etc.). Parallel/buffer operation: Compliance with charging regulations even with simultaneous operation of loads. Overcharge protection: regulates the charging current of the battery back in case of too much solar power and full battery, ensures the highest possible state of charge of the battery in case of power consumption by immediate recharging. "IU1oU2" charging characteristic: defined charging voltage increase (U1) prevents harmful acid stratification (lead) and provides equalization charging of individual battery cells (lead and lith.), then automatic trickle charging (U2). Charging cable compensation: Voltage losses on the charging cables are automatically compensated. On-board power supply filter: problem-free parallel operation with wind and motor generators, mains chargers, alternators, etc. Measurement output for EBL, possibly existing electric block in the living area of the vehicle: Allows the convenient use of a (solar) current display built into the electric block to check the solar system. Please make sure to check the compatibility of your Schaudt electric block (EBL) and the corresponding control and display panel in advance, as we cannot assume any warranty for this. Switching output "AES" (only MPP 250, MPP 350 and MPP 430): Causes automatic switching of refrigerators with "AES" (Automatic Energy Selector, Electrolux / Dometic) from gas to 12 V operation in the event of permanently abundant solar power surplus. Connection for battery temperature sensor (Art.-No. 2001): In case of lead batteries, the charging voltage is automatically adjusted to the battery temperature, causes a better full charge of the weaker battery in cold weather, in summer temperatures unnecessary battery gassing and load is avoided. LiFePO4 batteries: Battery protection at high and especially at low temperatures. Highly recommended when the battery temperature may drop below 0°C during operation. SmartSolar Charge Regulator MPPT   Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) Especially in overcast conditions when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT controller improves energy output by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers. Load output Battery overcharging can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the loads when the battery has been discharged to a preset voltage value. Alternatively, an intelligent battery management algorithm can be selected: see BatteryLife. The load output is short-circuit proof. Battery Life: intelligent battery management If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within one day, the battery status will constantly alternate between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (no regular full charge) will damage a lead-acid battery within a few weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the state of charge of the battery and if necessary, day by day, it raises the threshold for disconnecting the load (i.e., the load is disconnected earlier) until the energy gained is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. From this point on, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that charging to near 100% is achieved about once a week. Built-in Bluetooth Smart: No dongle needed. MultiPlusInverter / Charger Proven reliability The complete bridging additionally with a ring transformer topology has proven itself for years. The inverter is short-circuit proof and protected against overheating (whether caused by overload or ambient temperature). PowerControl work with limited generator power, limited shore or mains power The Multi Control remote control panel can be used to set the maximum shore or generator current to be drawn. The MultiPlus then takes into account other connected AC consumers and uses only the current that is "left over" for charging. This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded. PowerAssist "power boost" of generators and shore power support (800VA/1200VA/1600VA only) Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated by energy from the battery. Search mode When the search mode is set to 'on', the power consumption of the inverter is reduced by approximately 70% during no-load operation. In this mode, when operating in inverter mode, the Multi will turn off at zero load or when only a light load is present and turn back on for a short period every two seconds. If the output current exceeds a set limit, the inverter resumes operation. If this is not the case, the inverter switches off again. Programmable relay In the default setting, the multifunction relay acts as an alarm relay, i.e. it switches off the device in the event of faults (device becomes too hot, ripple voltage at the input too high, battery voltage too low).

This prevents the generator or shore power connection from being overloaded. PowerAssist "power boost" of generators and shore power support (800VA/1200VA/1600VA only) Load peaks often only occur for a limited period of time. In such a case, the MultiPlus ensures that insufficient shore power or generator power is immediately compensated by energy from the battery.
